Neoprene band, known as chloroprene rubber, is one of the rubbers closest to natural rubber. They exhibit high elasticity and their most significant property is being flame retardant. The chlorine in their composition provides high resistance to abrasion. They are highly resistant to petroleum-based liquids and commercial oils. Additionally, they have high resistance to UV, ozone, oxygen, and chemicals. Due to their high compatibility with metals, they are used in all projects requiring liquid insulation, especially where metal structural elements are present.
