General Description

AHED Geotextile's main feature is its continuous surface used to separate two different types of soils.
The fiber content of geotextile allows the dispersion of concentrated forces.
It also resists spread tensile forces within the soil mass and acts as a reinforcement element.
Geotextile can be used for filtration purposes due to its filter properties.
It prevents the passage of solid particles while remaining permeable enough for liquids (water) and gases (air).
Under certain conditions, these products can transport a significant amount of water along their surface, hence acting as a drainage element.
In summary, geotextile has hydraulic and mechanical functions. Its four main functions are;
Drainage
Filtration
Separation
Reinforcement (Strengthening)
